In a nutshell, here's what you get in cow's milk: Pus, Bovine Growth Hormones, Antibiotics and Feces.

Bovine Growth Hormones are given to cows to make them provide more than 10 times the amount of milk they would normally produce. This causes their udders to be very enlarged and extended. Inside the udders, they develop mastitis which are large pus-filled boils. These boils burst and contaminate the milk in the udders. Pasteurizing does not kill the pus cells. The dairy industry has "acceptable" levels of pus cells defined for each state.

Every dairy farm has mountains of cow feces everywhere. Wind blows this stuff which sticks very well to those udders and teats. Cleaning of those teats before milking leaves a lot to be desired, therefore feces do contaminate the milk.

The poor animals are pumped with overdoses of antibiotics to keep them alive. These antibiotics are frequently given by the farmers and workers themselves instead of qualified vets. These antibiotics end up in the milk that you drink.

Cow's milk is a major cause of many illnesses e.g. allergies, Crohn's Disease, asthma, arthritis, ulcers, stomach problems. See www.notmilk.com , www.milksucks.com
Cow's milk is for baby calves - not humans.
Why is it that mankind is the only species on earth to drink milk beyond infancy? Also, why from another species?
Did you know that if you purchase dairy products, you're also supporting the vicious veal industry? See www.noveal.org

Note: Dairy cows are not born that way! If you know anything about the "birds and the bees," it's simply that these poor cows are artificially inseminated by farmers sticking their hands holding syringes of sperm into the cow's vagina. Once pregnant, the cow's body then produces milk so that it can feed it's baby. Once the baby is born, if it's a male, it gets immediately taken away from it's mother to a large dark barn, chained in a stall so small that it cannot turn around or move. The baby calf is fed a sloopy grool purposely deficient in iron. By keeping the calf from moving, the muscles don't get hard. This baby calf is anemic, cannot move, cannot nurse, cannot see the light of day, chained, fed crap for a few months before it is killed. The veal industry then sells this at a premium price promoting it as a "healthy" meat, but the truth is that it really comes from a very sickly animal which they made that way!!!!

Need a solution?
If you need to drink milk, simply purchase organic Soy milk, Rice milk, Oat milk or Almond milk. Many big supermarkets like Publix of Kash N Karry carry their own organic brand of soy milk. It's made from organic soy beans and is absolutely better tasting than any cow's milk.
If you need eggs, use Egg Replacer which can be found at your local health food store.
If you need cheese, visit your health food store and purchase vegan cheese (no casein).
If you need butter, you can find Earth Balance margarine in the store.
If you need cream cheese, you can get Tofutti Cream Cheese at the health food stores.
If you need ice cream, you can find Tofutti Soy Ice Cream or Soy Delicious Ice Cream at the health food stores or at some of your local supermarkets.
If you need "meat," try vegan Gardenburgers, soy hot dogs, or ones made from lentils and grains.
If you need great vegan recipes to try, please visit www.veganchef.com , www.cok.net
If you would more info about veganism, please visit www.vegan.com
If you would like a free vegetarian starter kit, please visit www.peta.org
If you would like more info about animal rights, please visit www.peta.org , www.floridavoicesforanimals.org , www.arff.org
